What We Believe
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the infallibility of the Holy Scriptures as the word of the living God. It is the supreme and final authority.
2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 14:37
THE ONE AND TRUE GOD
We believe in one true God in three persons-The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. That is the Trinity of the God Head, The Almighty in the Sovereignty of God as the essential, absolute and eternal deity.
Matthew 4:16-17, Matthew 28:19
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, and that He was crucified, died and buried, on the third day He rose from the grave and ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father, until His enemies become His footstool. And that He is the only way to God the Father.
We believe that man is born with a fallen nature and is therefore inclined to evil continually and subject to eternal punishment and needs repentance and regeneration. Man’s need for salvation has been met in the Person of Jesus Christ because of His deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, substantial death, bodily resurrection and His second coming. John 1: 1-8; John 8:46; Colossians 1:15; 2 Corinthians 5: 5-19
SPEAKING IN TONGUES
We believe in the baptism and indwelling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Act 19:1-7; 1 Corinthians 14:2; Acts 2:4-39
LIFE AFTER DEATH
We believe that eternal begins when you accept Christ, but where you spend the rest of eternity after ones death depends on your decision, whether to live by the word of the Lord and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, or rebel against God, His Son and His Word. John 3:36; John 5:24,John 17:2-3
We believe in divine healing which is the restoration of health to one who believes and acts on the word of God and that Jesus is the healer. We further believe that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. However, the church is not against hospital treatment. Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. It must be made clear that infants are not baptised but dedicated. John 4:1-2
TITHES AND OFFERING
We believe that the Bible clearly teaches the believer to tithe their income and to give free will offering to the local church for the advancement of the Gospel. We believe in giving alms and caring for the poor, sick, homeless, and otherwise less fortunate.
Malachi 3: 1-10; Leviticus 27:30-33
We believe that Holy Matrimony is an institution ordained by God for the human race. That is man to woman and it is binding until death. We therefore believe in monogamy; that is one man one spouse and it must be honorable before all.
